This is an original map I made. You just added ww3 to it. Maybe just add to the author section instead of replacing the original author next time when you save the map.
Apologies. That was not the intention. I used a script I found online that can turn any map into ww3 with China and USA. Used that to generate these. Don’t know how to change the code to modify authors names. I have no interest in having my name there, but also don’t have the coding knowledge to fix this. Can you please comment the original authors here so it can be visible.
I believe the map has a link to the github where the ww3 modification code is. If anyone can fix that code to include the original authors it would be great.
I’m just doing this so I can play the maps with my kids and have fun. No other motives.
no worries. You can actually just change the extension to .zip, unzip it, and open the map.yaml file. There you can edit the info like author, etc. Rezip the files with the changes and rename extension to .oramap.
also if you open batch.sh in a text editor there is a line where it will input the author. I don't know scripting, im not a programmer, but I left a msg on guthub for H to change that line so it preserves the original author's name.
That’s great! Can you share which line it is, maybe solution is simply remove that line.
