Twin Falls - Goals and Motivations
1. Encourage early gameplay by fighting over Oil Derricks and the Hospital. The village maintains some importance throughout the game due to easy raiding party paths (quick travel base to base) and easy harassment of harvesters on the “main base’s primary ore patch.”
2. Encourage army defense for players looking to profit using the middle Gem Mines. As players are limited in building space due to all of the debris, it is best to use an army to defend against incoming threats and escort the harvesters.
3. Encourage usage of Naval units. If the opponent locks down the primary path, use naval units to launch a surprise attack (transports or ships) behind enemy lines. “Ore Island” is also present to encourage navy usage as players must build a Transport to get an MCV there.

Twin Falls v4 Changelog
- Starting Gems moved from the shoreline to the forest so players can notice and harvest them more easily.
- The starting, southern ore patch has been moved down one tile.
- The village Oil Derricks have been moved to the middle of the map and divided so each player has one. In their original place stands a Hospital, surrounded by concrete walls. The village itself has been modified to accommodate this and additional decorations.
- The village church now has more sandbags protecting it and the northern Oil Derricks from falling to enemy soldiers attacking from the village.
- The northern path (Oil Derrick Path) has been widened slightly.
- Added roads to the main pathway.
- The “Pathway Forest” has been relocated to the south slightly.
- The “inlet” has been removed. Instead, the land juts outward, providing a larger “second entrance” to the main base leading to the southern ore patch.
- The base forest has been grown southward.
- The Middle Gems are now surrounded by debris and forests, discouraging structure placement and preventing Refineries from being built nearby for easy harvesting.
- The Middle Gems now have 2 Gem Mines present, but the starting amount of Gems have been lessened.
- The first expansion has been moved to the rear side of the battlefield, replacing the decorative cliffs. In their original locations are now decorative villages. (This was done to lower map control of the middle chokepoint.)
- The second expansion has gained a neutral Power Plant and a Tesla Coil to defend from seaborne threats. Crafty players may capture their opponent’s island for a nasty surprise…
- The second expansion has also gained some Gems.
- Other misc. changes and decorations.
