Island Conquest - Goals and Motivations
1. Create a Navy Map that does not rely on ground armies. I initially just started with the classic 4 island setup, but then I added the middle island to create something to fight over instead of always attacking the enemy bases.
2. While I went for a vertical mirror during initial creation, a part of me is considering re-dividing the map into 4 quadrants instead, with the small juts of each island leading to the next in a counter clockwise manner. However, this will bring up ore balance concerns due to placement. I may just make a new 4 player naval map entirely instead of trying to salvage Island Conquest.
3. Currently, Island Conquest focuses far more on base to base combat with a single objective to fight over instead of varied locations to battle over. I have another naval map idea that has the players fight over smaller islands instead of larger ones. However, since I like my symmetry too much and beaches are difficult to make symmetrical, I may not get around to actually making one.
