Light infantry, fremen, grenadier, saboteur slowered. Since there was first greater bonus MS per rank. The officer was faster than tank. So there is slower. Trikes MS reduction on sand is not so high. Dune tile looks like the rocky ground. What to choose from that ? Hark tank MS returned to 52. (4000) tank group is easily countered by (2000) infantry group. Only A.I is a fatal loser against my Harkonnens.
Map have difficult terrain. Lot of cliffs but even open sands. updated terrain for VI. There are still bad tiles in map editor:-/

Keeping the story line. This often happens for House Atreides even in a regular skirmish game. The player barely survives the attacks of worms and the enemy, and slowly expands the ranks of the Fremen, who often form the majority of the player's army.
The senseless attack is painfull and easier to conduct.
