Canyon Rush may be a rather limiting map, but it was meant for a more quick and fast paced game.
Each team has four players battling in a long and winding canyon, hence the name. Your MCVs are trapped in a concrete wall, and you can't build via them. Instead, along the canyon, every member of the team has a Command Center, where you build your minibase around. The area just before the spawn points has two.
The idea is that each team needs to rush the opponent's base as fast as possible, taking out the first base, then the second, then the last two, ending the game by destroying the four construction yards clumped up at the end.
Resources are minimal, your first ally is vulnerable, and so is the enemy. Whether by skirmishes or a fully-fledged army, the target is wide open and easy to destroy.
Details: Each side has a start of 7500 ore nearby and preferably a starting bank count of 10000, discouraging massively expensive play. Only one mine for each player makes battles of attrition slower but hopefully more decisive. Considering the restrictions on areas to attack from (Being only one, it is a canyon), playing defensive may prove helpful in the short run, but when the planes attack your Yards from the side, blame only yourself.
