Description:
Sirocco was a contender in the 2017 Map Contest.
What makes this map different:
- Reflective symmetry at 22.5 degrees from vertical.
- Large, open layout challenges playstyles which rely heavily on static defence or a dominant infantry blob. This should provide for dynamic games which encourage players to react to their opponent's composition.
- A sandstorm (no gameplay effect).
Other design features include:
- Derricks and a hospital provide a small reward for players who take early map control.
- Despite the map size, spawn distance is relatively close.
- Many viable expansion locations; no economic resources in the area between the players.
