"Field" was Entry #38 in noobmapmaker's 2017 Map Design Contest.
Like Under and Walls, I made Field to see how the Renegade version of the map would play in the original RTS.
When I made the map, I tried to borrow aspects from both the Renegade and Renegade X versions of the map. To do this, I included the "barn" that was present in the original map but, added two oil derricks to serve the function of the Silos from the Renegade X version.
I also tried to include the concrete walls from the original version of the map. They help give a general idea as to where the buildings would be in Renegade.
Lastly, I got a bit carried away with the "outside" areas of the map because I have a thing for little details (especially to the northeast of the GDI base).

One issue I noticed was the Harvester AI was kind of struggling and I also felt the distance from the bases to the Tiberium fields were a bit too unforgiving (considering there isn't a steady generation of cash like in Renegade). To fix this, I added a small patch of Tiberium to each base to keep the bases from stagnating at the start of the match.
